We would like to welcome you to our studio and we look forward to working with you and supporting you on your fitness journey.
Our ethos is one of being there to help our clients achieve their goals and to do so in a fun, supportive environment. We will of course expect you to work hard and we will hold you accountable, but ultimately it is you that will have to put in the work to get the results you have told us you want to achieve. It may not always be easy, but it will be worth it!
Founded by Edele & Neilus
B Well Fitness Club is owned and operated by Killarney couple Edele Daly & Neilus Hayes. Edele previously operated a fitness studio in Killarney town centre for many years, but with the growth in the business and Neilus coming on board in 2019 they not only moved location to their current base, they also decided to go for a full rebranding of the business, and so B Well Fitness Club was born.
They opened their doors at B Well Fitness in May 2019, and offer personal training, small group training and fitness classes 6 days per week. The team has also grown since with the addition of Peter McCarthy & Stefan McMahon to the B Well team, both qualified personal trainers & gym instructors. More details of all our team are below….
Edele Daly
Owner
Edele is Qualified Strength & Conditioning Coach, Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, Gym Instructor, Cardiac Rehabilitation Instructor And has many CPD certifications in courses such as Indoor cycling, kettlebells, high intensity training etc.
Edele’s passion is teaching fun Group Exercise classes, that not only get results but leave everyone feeling energized & smiling.
She thrives on helping people on a one to one basis with Habit and lifestyle changes to get results. She believes there is no one quick fix for everyone and that each individual is unique and requires a different set of tools and coaching skills to achieve their goals.
She specializes on teaching Personal training clients on how their body should move and correctional exercise strategies for injuries prevention , rehabilitation and posture correction.
Edele is passionate about the “mind body connection” and takes a holistic approach to her teaching style. This isn’t to say she won’t give you a kick ass workout at the same time.
Neilus Hayes
Owner / Personal Trainer
Neilus is a Qualified Strength & Conditioning Coach, Personal Trainer & has gained a Diploma to deliver sports psychology coaching to teams and individuals. Neilus came to the fitness industry driven with a passion for sports psychology, he quickly developed an interest in training clients to move and feel better. Bringing the teaching and positive mindset of sports psychology, Neilus has a “knack “ of making people feel comfortable and helping them believe they can achieve anything. He likes to make the workouts fun, effective and varied.
Neilus has always been involved in sports at junior & senior levels; soccer and basketball being his main sports. In later years he has developed a passion for teaching weight lifting to beginners and intermediate exercisers. Including strength & conditioning for sports including golf, football & cycling conditioning.
Neilus continues to study psychology & continues to grow as a positive mindset motivator.
Peter McCarthy
Personal Trainer & Motivator
Peter is a qualified Gym Instructor, Personal Trainer, Spinning Instructor & Kettlebell Instructor. With an incredible hunger for exercise, Peter is very passionate about the benefits of looking after your body.
Having played football at a high level up until 2018, Peter gained international recognition with the Republic of Ireland, played in the League Of Ireland with Limerick FC & scored plenty of goals for his beloved Killarney Celtic and Kerry Oscar Traynor team down throughout the years.
Talent and ability only goes so far and that’s where Peters love for fitness and getting any advantage where possible comes in through exercise and living a healthy lifestyle.
Peter offers a wealth of knowledge and thrives on helping his clients of all fitness levels setting goals, targets and achieving them with the help of his motivation and varied workouts.
Stefan McMahon
Our in house sports therapist
Stefan is a qualified Sports Therapist specialising in soft tissue injury & dysfunction, as well as a qualified Gym Instructor & Personal Trainer.
As well as working in B Well Fitness Club, he also offers a range of services from his treatment room here at B Well Fitness Club, such as Injury Assessment & Treatment, Sports Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Cupping Therapy as well as offering Kinesiology Taping and Sports Taping & Strapping.
Stefan has a long sporting background and has worked with Killarney Celtic FC, Gneeveguilla GAA, Fossa GAA, East Kerry Minor GAA, Kerry Schoolboys/Girls League Kennedy Cup (boys team) & Gaynor Cup (girls team) teams, as well as the Kerry U15 League of Ireland team.
Stefan not only treats a person with an injury or muscle dysfunction but works with the person to help them understand the underlying cause of their pain, and then implement a rehab plan to make them stronger.
Stefan’s aim is to get the person back doing their normal activities pain free.
