We Had a BLAST Training for Quest Killarney 2022!

With Quest Killarney taking place on Saturday 1st October – the team at B Well decided to take on the challenge and enter Edele, Neilus and Peter into the race.. and train for it on Saturday mornings along with a group of budding Questies.

And so the Train for the Adventure Saturday morning class was created to also prepare you for other types of adventure races, sporting events, sportives and duathlons.

Throughout the six weeks of the class, we worked on strength, endurance and conditioning. We addressed transitioning (cycle to run transitions etc) issues and worked out how to approach the various aspects of the Quest Killarney race.

Even when things got explosive in the fitness studio we kept training! Going from a run to a high intensity, explosive circuit training workout to a spinning session amped up our appetite and readiness for Quest. Phew!

Neilus gave us tools to help break through fears and limitations around competing, completion and confidence.

Quest’s team got on board and supported our training, putting in the hours with our group.  Our budding adventure racers have been incredible and they showed nothing but commitment and enthusiasm every step of the way. Even when our trainer Peter stepped up the runs a notch or two.

Our trainers Edele, Neilus and Peter loved the experience of preparing for Quest Killarney with the group in the class and are well ready for the 1st October.

Best of luck to everyone taking part in Quest Killarney and welcome to Kingdom to all of the Questies out there!
